Description:

Joey and Mira are a design and research duo at Dropbox who spent a lot of the past year thinking about how to help bring teams’ files and content closer together. Throughout the process, they emphasized staying lightweight and scrappy, and using research insights to drive iterative design and product development. They’ll talk about how they tackled the problem and they’re learnings about what worked and what they’d do differently next time.

About the speakers:

Joey

Joey is a Product Designer @ Dropbox where he works on improving the experience for content creators on Dropbox Paper. Previously he worked on a variety of projects across different teams focusing on re-imagining how users share their content with one another easily and securely. Prior to joining Dropbox, Joey worked for a variety of startups in the Bay Area including Nerdwallet, where he focused on designing tools that helped people make healthy and sustainable financial decisions.

Mira

Mira is a Senior Design Researcher at Dropbox, where she uses collaborative research methods to drive strategic design decision-making. Conducting research for Dropbox Paper, her work spans the full research spectrum, from exploring ambiguous problem spaces to informing design iteration. Prior to her Dropbox life, she worked in health care and health policy research. She loves long distance train travel, arguing about movies, and Victorian literature.
