The UX of TV

Tonight we have an incredible treat for everybody: Olivier Lacour from NDS is going to talk about the principles and the practice of designing 10ft interfaces for set-top-boxes type of devices and interactive TV sets.

After an introduction to the history of TV UX and an exposition of the unique challenges and contraints of this medium, Olivier will demo, then talk about the Snowflake UI, and explain design goals and visions behind it, and will talk in depth about the design process followed to achieve those goals.

After the presentation, Olivier will issue (and judge) a Design Challenge that will be up to the super talented UX Eye members to solve and present in exchange for glory, fame... well, maybe just an applause and the recognition of your peers!
