VISUAL DESIGNER

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team, client and end users to understand user needs, product goals, and client expectations
Define visual design directions for mobile applications and web sites
Translate wireframes and flows into fully-articulated visual systems
Design and present the visual strategy directly to clients
Create and deliver visual assets and style guides necessary to communicate and implement design vision

Qualifications

5+ years designing user experiences for apps – mobile, tablet, or web
A portfolio of work samples demonstrating ability to create visual design solutions
Understand how to design for fluid, dynamic applications - supporting effective use, not just nice design
Comfortable addressing a group, presenting visual design strategy, and parsing client feedback
Excellent communicator, collaborator with clients and teams
Self-directed, organized and detail-oriented
Software skills: Fireworks a huge plus, and the usual Adobe CS apps
