How to get the most out of IxDA SF's site
1. Answer the profile questions. We're not trying to replace Linkedin but when someone visits your profile, the small bit of information you provide here can be extremely helpful.
2. Post jobs. What's the best way to find great designers? Through other designers, of course. If your company has an open opportunity, be sure to post it in the Jobs section of our site. (Also available via RSS)
3. Start a discussion/Ask a question. The IxDA email list is a fantastic resource for discussion and getting answers, but sometimes it's nice to get that local flavor. Check out the current discussions or start a new one. (Also available via RSS)
4. Post events. San Francisco has one of the most active design communities in the US. If IxDA isn't sponsoring the next design event, then another organization probably is. Post design events that you're hosting or ones that you've heard about in the Events section, and get the IxDA community involved. (Also available via RSS)
5. Join an interest group. Want to volunteer for IxDA? Are you a local contractor? Interested in mobile? We've got a group for you. (Let us know if there's another interest group you think we should have.)
6. Build our community! There are over 1100 members of the IxDA-SF Ning site, but I know that there are several hundred more who should be here. If you know of someone who should join, please invite them!
