The Senior Interaction Designer is responsible for informing and activating our Customer Experience strategy to create a great omni-channel experience throughout a customer’s journey with Esurance. The Sr IxD will lead the end-to-end design process from user journeys, wireframes, to interactive prototypes with a passion for user-centered design. The Sr IxD is a member of the Customer Experience UX and Research team responsible for creating elegant and effortless products and experiences for Esurance customers and working strategically across all areas of our business.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create interaction models, user task flows, detailed storyboards to effectively communicate information architecture and UI design
  • Take ownership of the UI pattern library and develop guidelines, standards, user-centered design processes
  • Create high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes for web and mobile
  • Use customer-driven insights and agile methodologies to deliver simple, yet elegant customer experiences
  • Create and deliver UX/UI design documentation to aid with cross-team communication, collaboration and development
  • Participate in design research on a wide variety of usability studies with our research team



  • Extensive knowledge of current design trends and interaction patterns
  • Expert motion and animation design
  • Solid knowledge of Sketch or Omnigraffle and prototyping tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills


Experience / Education:

  • Strong interactive design background, experienced with UI design and animation across web and mobile experiences
  • Experience with Agile and Lean UX methodologies (ie. Story mapping, Design Sprints)
  • Deep portfolio with best-in-class work in mobile and web applications
  • Degree in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field
