Red Oak Technology is seeking a UX Designer for our client located in San Jose, CA. This is a Contract position with a possibility of Contract to Hire.
Execute Interaction design in a multi-disciplinary team.
Work on a variety of design challenges (desktop, cloud, and mobile), and shape the future of the entire product line.
Write and proof UI text.
Partner with the UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering to conceive, plan, and deliver effective UX solutions within a given area of the logged-in web application.
Dream up visions of the user experience
Participate in the UX vision, maintain consistency and help build design culture.
Own and maintain the company style guide
Conduct style-guide classes to within-company groups
Work in an Agile environment
Be a team member to the User-Centered-Design Team
Four to eight (4-8) years’ experience as a key member of a User Experience Design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or software applications
Degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks), Axure, Sketch 3, InVision, or similar tools
Ability to create information architecture diagrams, wireframing, prototyping and screen flows
Previous experience with Enterprise Software Company or Cloud Computing companies, preferred.
Strong background in Design
Diverse industry experience (corporate, software, web, agency) appreciated
Experience working with cross-functional teams including user research, visual design, product management, and engineering
Experience with application design and keen grasp of web design principles
Ability to present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience including business, product and technology teams
Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to grasp multiple product requirements
