Melissa is an interdisciplinary designer working across the fields of interaction design, UX strategy and visual design. Her expertise lies in connecting the dots between human needs and business objectives to create positive, meaningful experiences between people and the services they use. She has worked with clients big and small spanning across a variety of industries including healthcare, e-commerce, energy management, mobile, non-profit, arts and education. Recent clients include Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft, Google, Open English, Hyundai, Pacific Gas & Electric, La Cocina, SCRAP Creative Reuse and the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California.

She currently serves as Interaction Design Lead at Method and periodically teaches interdisciplinary studio courses at California College of the Arts where she earned her MFA in Design. She occasionally speaks on topics related to experience design, process and research and served on the judging committee for the IxD Awards. When not in the studio she enjoys making jam, nerding out on design and typography, growing stuff, drawing, cooking, reading, experimenting and tinkering.
