ABOUT IXDA SF
IxDA SF is the San Francisco chapter of the global Interaction Design Association (IxDA). Serving over 4,000 members from around the Bay Area, IxDA SF hosts a wide range of design-focused and social events throughout the year. We partner with great companies to host talks and activities that move interaction design forward and enable practitioners to hone and advance skills. Above all, we aim to bring together ideas, perspectives, and inspiration that make us all better, more aware thinkers and designers.
ABOUT SF DESIGN WEEK
SF Design Week spans the entire Bay Area from Silicon Valley, San Francisco all the way over to the East Bay and beyond. Since 2006, AIGA San Francisco has organized SF Design Week as a way to reach out to a diverse community of over 24,000 Bay Area design professionals as well as local businesses, non-profits, entrepreneurs, students, the design-savvy public, tourists, and more. AIGA SF is partnering with the San Francisco chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the Interaction Design Association (IxDA), the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD), and Adobe Systems, to sponsor a full week of events highlighting the diversity and professionalism of the design community around the bay. HAVE AN IDEA FOR A TALK OR EVENT?
This evening’s theme originated with Danielle’s idea for a talk, and it’s a great example of how IxDA SF members add their voices to the conversation about design and its practice. Have an idea for a talk? Are you passionate about a topic you think will be of interest to other IxDA SF members? Let us know! Post a discussion or catch up with Maria (@mcordell), Nick (@ncawthon), or Sharon (@luckybird)!
