Creating a UX Design portfolio is a tough challenge, yet is super important to help you land a job. Hear first-hand from a Design Manager and Designer from LinkedIn about the best way to approach storytelling your process, what hiring managers look for when hiring candidates, and tips and tricks around presenting your work. During this 1 hour presentation, the presenters will share best-practices around creating a good portfolio and do a couple of live critiques at the session.
Speakers:
Kristine Yuen is currently a Design Manager at LinkedIn for the Pages and Elevate product. She was introduced to the world of UX design while working at Deloitte Digital as a consultant. She has 8+ years of experience working on enterprise and consumer digital products across retail, consumer and industrial products, healthcare, financial, and high-tech industries. In her free time, Kristine enjoys mentoring students, cooking, traveling, and doing active things. She has a Master’s of Interaction Design from the California College of the Arts and a Bachelor’s of Business from the University of Notre Dame.
Ulrika Andersson is a Senior User Experience Designer at LinkedIn for the Developer's experience on the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions team. She began her design practice as an exhibit developer in the field of science exhibition, at The Exploratorium and Chabot Space and Science Center. She has 5+ years of UX experience working on educational apps, e-learning, e-commerce, enterprise ads and developers’ products. When not working, Ulrika rides her bike and and works in her art studio in Oakland. She has a Master’s of Fine Art from the California College of the Arts and a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute.
