Scott Snibbe is a media artist, filmmaker, and researcher in interactivity. He will present selections from twenty years of interactive art, music, exhibits, and entertainment. He will show many examples of interactive art that mine themes from science and cinema to produce unabashedly entertaining and poetic re-interpretations of our universe, including recent work creating the first app album with Björk: Biophilia; and interactive exhibits created for James Cameron's movie Avatar. He will discuss the educational and societal benefits of interactivity; and the joys, challenges, and research involved in the creation and distribution of interactive art as an artist/entrepreneur.
